Open practices are continuing at Kiwanis Park, 125 Longhill Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.  Our next practices are planned for Tue. Apr. 2 at noon and Thur Apr. 4 at 10am.

Important Registration News

Registration for the inaugural season of the WSSL is full!  But season 2 registration is underway!

Activities and Upcoming Events

  • A meeting for all WSSL players was held on Feb. 20. The Board of Directors briefed the full membership and answered questions (presentation, 8 MB PDF). 
  • Arrangements have been made with Williamsburg Parks and Recreation to use the softball fields at Kiwanis Park.
  • Selection of uniforms, equipment and supplies is currently underway.
  • Notices in the Virginia Gazette started running in mid January. They inform prospective players about the league and the email address.
  • In early January, the initial board of directors for WSSL began to meet and carry out organizational activities.
  • Mar 5, 2019 -- Practice sessions for interested players will begin at Kiwanis Park.
  • Mar 29, 2019 -- Teams are formed.  Teams can practice together during the first two weeks of April.
  • Apr 16, 2019 -- Spring season games begin.
  • Jun 27, 2019 -- Last available day for spring season games.
  • Jul-Aug, 2019 -- No summer season.
  • Sep 5, 2019 -- Fall season begins.
  • Nov 14, 2019 -- Fall season ends.
