All you "rookies" should be receiving an email from our Deputy Commish, John Antretter, looking to set up a couple separate practices for you and the managers.  This is for evaluation purposes leading to team assignments, so please, try to make at least one of the dedicated sessions to "introduce" yourself.

Open practices in August are continuing on Thursdays at 9m at Kiwanis Park.

We are still accepting registrations for the fall season.

Our summer membership meeting was held on Thu, Aug 1 at 5pm. See the Documents page for the presentation.

Summer Break

The league is now on break until September. Throughout August, we welcome newcomers and current members and to come out and practice on Thursday mornings at 9am at Kiwanis Park.

For those interested, there will be a lunch outing after practice on Thu Aug 22. Location is TBD.

Activities and Upcoming Events

• An article about the WSSL was published by the Virginia Gazette on May 28.
• Registration for the fall 2019 season opened on June 1, 2019.
• The WSSL inaugural spring season  ended on June 27. We played 36 games in total. Each team played 24 games.
  
• Through an arrangement with Williamsburg Parks and Recreation, we are using the softball fields at Kiwanis Park.

• Apr 16, 2019 -- Spring season games began.
• Jun 1, 2019 -- Fall season registration opens.
• Jun 27, 2019 -- Last day for spring season games.
• Jun 29, 2019 -- Exhibition game with Ford's Colony; end-of-season party (7 pm).
• Aug 1, 2019 -- Membership meeting (5 pm).
  
• Jul-Aug, 2019 -- No summer season.
• Aug 16, 2019 -- Fall registration deadline.
• Sep 5, 2019 -- Fall season begins.
• Nov 14, 2019 -- Fall season ends.
