League Operation
Softball games will be scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday mornings. For 2020, each team will play a single game per play date. The early games begin at 9:00 am while the later games begin at 10:20 am. Games are 7 innings with a time limit of 75 minutes. Game schedules are posted on this website along with game scores and current standings. Cancellations, rain-outs and other changes will be posted here as well (home page).
Each team will have a manager and one or more assistants. Managers will be responsible for creating lineups and making decisions during games. Typically managers communicate with their team members by email, text or other means as needed.
The league will not be using paid umpires. Instead, teams will provide umpires from their rosters. Ideally, players from the other game will be available to umpire. Otherwise, each team will provide an umpire during its turn on offense. Umpires are those who have been trained or will receive training before the season begins.

The league will form teams by early April. Teams will practice together in early April until regular season games begin on April 14.
Play dates in the spring will run from April 14 through June 30. After the summer recess, play resumes on August 18 and the regular season ends on September 29. The month of October is reserved for rain dates to play make-up games.
