Official practices begin on Tue Mar 3 at 10am at JCC Rec Center field 1. We expect to practice every Tue & Thu during March.

A free Stretching & Strengthening Clinic will be held for WSSL members on Wed Mar 4 from 11:00 to 12:30.

Postseason Activities

The league will have a few off-season activities and items of interest to share with members.
  • Off-season practices are ongoing at the JCC rec center fields. Mike Allen is organizing. If you'd like be on the notification list, text him at 757-784-2655 with your name and number.

Recent Activities and Upcoming Events

  • Williamsburg Next Door Neighbors magazine featured articles on WSSL members Jim Ratkus (Dec 2019) and John Ancellotti (Feb 2020).
  • WSSL members walked in the Williamsburg Christmas Parade on Dec. 7.
  • The WSSL fall 2019 season ended on Nov. 5. We played 28 games in total. Each team played 14 games.
  • An article about the WSSL was published by the Virginia Gazette on May 28, 2019.
  • The WSSL inaugural spring season ended on June 27, 2019. We played 36 games in total. Each team played 24 games.
  • Jan 16, 2020 -- Membership meeting at 10am at the JCC Rec Center, room C.
  • Feb 22, 2020 -- Umpire clinic in Providence Forge.
  • Mar 4, 2020 -- Stretching and Strengthening Clinic.
  • Mar 3, 2020 -- Preseason activities: practice and evaluation sessions.
  • Apr 1, 2020 -- Teams will be drafted in late March or early April.
