Tuesday, Apr. 9 at 10am Blue (home) vs. Silver
Thursday, Apr. 11 at 10am  Silver (home) vs. Red
The team not scheduled should show up to provide fill-in players.

Important Registration News

Registration for the inaugural season of the WSSL is full!  We will be competing this spring with three teams, playing Tuesdays and Thursdays at Kiwanis Park from 9:00am till around noon.  We will gladly accept further registrations for a stand-by list and will select players off this list on a "first come, first served" basis as needed.  Anyone missing out on the spring season can certainly look forward to the fall season beginning in September.  We expect more players and more teams in the fall!

Activities and Upcoming Events

  • A meeting for all WSSL players was held on Feb. 20. The Board of Directors briefed the full membership and answered questions (presentation, 8 MB PDF). 
  • Arrangements have been made with Williamsburg Parks and Recreation to use the softball fields at Kiwanis Park.
  • Selection of uniforms, equipment and supplies is currently underway.
  • Notices in the Virginia Gazette started running in mid January. They inform prospective players about the league and the email address.
  • In early January, the initial board of directors for WSSL began to meet and carry out organizational activities.
  • Mar 5, 2019 -- Practice sessions for interested players will begin at Kiwanis Park.
  • Apr 2, 2019 -- Teams are formed.  Teams can practice together during the first two weeks of April.
  • April 4-11, 2019 -- Three preseason games played.
  • Apr 16, 2019 -- Spring season games begin.
  • Jun 27, 2019 -- Last available day for spring season games.
  • Jul-Aug, 2019 -- No summer season.
  • Sep 5, 2019 -- Fall season begins.
  • Nov 14, 2019 -- Fall season ends.
