Other League Information
- Our annual BRC (Base Running Competition) and HRD (Home Run Derby) were held on Jul 20. Photos are available for viewing and results are listed on the Member Awards page.
- Our Mid-Season Summer Social was held Sat Jul 22, on a pleasant, rain-free evening. WSSL members enjoyed a lively round of karaoke. As always, we thank Mike Sloan for hosting the event.
- The Board has decided to support and promote a charity this year. To Write Love on her Arms provides help for those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. Last year two of our members lost sons who suffered from such problems. See the TWLOHA donation page for more info.
- Our own George Karabinos was given the honor of throwing out the first pitch at the W&M baseball game on 5/14.
- Jim Arend is graciously providing action photos of WSSL games for our viewing enjoyment. See his WSSL photo gallery.

- On Feb 4 the Virginia Gazette published an article about our league.
- Players are encouraged to fill out a personal medical information form for use by emergency responders during an incapacitating medical emergency. Place the form in a sealed envelope, write your name on it, and give it to any Board member.
